Be Sure We Know Well the Vaccination Schedule

We may sometimes do not give a damn to our health, including vaccination schedule we should follow. Well, it can be the vaccination schedule for ourselves, our kid, or our pet. We must not ignore the date, because vaccination is dealing a lot with our health. Why following vaccination schedule is crucial? We should understand the meaning of it see it crystal clear. So what is vaccination schedule? It is series of vaccination which includes doses and timing. It can be compulsory or recommended. Although it still causes a lot of controversies, but compulsory vaccinations should not be ignored or underestimated. Consult well with you private doctor or your health provider. A vaccination shot into body is actually the preparation of antigenic which is used to create immunity that is active to fortify one from certain disease. The dose of every vaccination can be varied. It depends on the needs. One vaccine may be shot for several times with different dose. While the other vaccine may be only shot once. We should also know that certain vaccines are only recommended in certain countries or regions.

Some examples of scheduled vaccines for preventing diseases in some countries
Here are some vaccine targets and the scheduled vaccines which are meant to prevent some disease in some countries. The first vaccine target is pertussis. The transmission is through airborne droplet. A data from 2004 shows that there were 254.000 people died because of this disease. The vaccine for preventing the disease is scheduled in some countries like UK, USA, Finland, Germany, Cuba, Chile, Australia and India. The second vaccine target is diphtheria which is transmitted through saliva. There were 5000 people dead because of this disease and that is not including the world wide incidence which reached the number of 34.000 people in 2004. Countries that recommend this vaccine is included the ones mentioned before, plus China, Botswana, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, and Japan.

The third vaccine target is tetanus. Its transmission is through penetrating injury. Over 150.000 people died in 2004. All countries mentioned before recommend this vaccine. While for preventing tuberculosis, all previous countries mentioned earlier recommend, except for USA, Germany, and Australia. They have their own consideration why not include this vaccine in the recommendation. The other vaccine targets are hepatitis A and B, measles, polio, human papillomavius, mumps, meningococcus, haemophilus influenza type b, rotavirus, pneumococcus, rubella, yellow fever, typhoid fever, tick borne encephalitis and Japanese encephalitis. Every country has its own policy toward vaccination schedule. So, it is wise to always consult and discuss the vaccine you or your kid should have in order to stay away from deadly and dangerous disease.

Avoid unnecessary hassles toward scheduled vaccine
A mother’s behavior of new born may sometimes not be based on realistic reasons and often times unreasonable. Why? This may be caused by what people usually call the “baby blues” syndrome. Well, this is actually common condition. A mother of new born may face shocking as well as tiring situation. She has to stay awake in the nights and take care of house hold chores in the days. Plus, if the atmosphere in the house is not supporting, she will become a person that she is not. Shortly, taking care of new born baby makes her overwhelmed. The mother can be so paranoid when hearing the word vaccination, because it means her new born baby must be shot. She thinks it will hurt her baby so bad that it must not happen. Unnecessary hassles may sometimes happen between the father and the mother. The father thinks that their new born baby must follow the vaccination schedule, while the mother thinks the other way around. Her husband insists that their baby must take the right dose of vaccine in every vaccination schedule, while she considers it is only going to hurt her baby. She will not think the same way if she gets the right understanding from the people around, especially her husband.

There are some deadly diseases that can be prevented by following the right vaccination schedule. So, as parents, we must understand this first. This should be known earlier, before a couple decides to have a kid. A pediatrician usually gives parents the schedule at the very first time of our visit with our new born baby. There are websites that provides vaccination schedule as well starting from the new born until adult. The vaccines are of course varied. Some may be compulsory and the others may be recommendation. The ones recommended do not mean less important than the compulsory ones. See your personal doctor to discuss it. Your personal doctor is the one who knows very well about your health condition. So, listen to his suggestion and an advice about the vaccinations you should take is a must.

A child may get fewer vaccines and the other kids may get more. It really depends on the condition and of course the age of the children. However, as explained earlier, it also depends on where we live. Some countries may do not recommend certain vaccination schedule which is maybe the compulsory one. So, be sure you always consult to your doctor about it. Ideally a new born baby should get hepatitis B vaccine (HBV). This the first dose that he or she must take. Without taking this vaccination, he or she can get the disease at any age. And then, the second dose of HBV should be given two months later. Next, during the age of 2 to 4 months, the baby should get the DTaP, Hib, IPV, PCV, PPSV and Rota. The pediatrician will be willingly explaining to you about each of those vaccines. When the baby is 4 month old, he or she will get the second dose of those vaccines. It goes on until he or she is 6 months. The next vaccine can be done annually. But this, of course, should be under the recommendation of your doctor. Be sure you and your kid get the right vaccines to have healthy and fit life that everyone dreams of.
